पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड ने इसके देखा देखी अपने यहां पाकिस्तान सुपर लीग की शुरुआत की लेकिन पैसा जुटाने में नाकाम रही। अब बोर्ड के नए अध्यक्ष रमीज रजा का कहना है कि वह अपने टी20 लीग को भारतीय लीग के मुकाबले खड़ा करके दिखाएंगे। पूर्व भारतीय ओपनर आकाश चोपड़ा ने इसका जवाब दिया है।
