The unsung hero of the 2007 T20 World Cup, S Sreesanth has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in a tweet on his official Twitter handle on Wednesday. 39-year-old Sreesanth returned to cricket after a long time but he has finally decided to end his career. Sreesanth was banned from playing cricket for life after being found guilty of spot-fixing in IPL 2013. However, in the year 2020, the life ban imposed on Sreesanth was lifted and he was again allowed to play cricket.

2007 टी20 विश्व कप के अनसुने हीरो एस श्रीसंत ने बुधवार को अपने आधिकारिक ट्विटर हैंडल पर ट्वीट करते हुए क्रिकेट के सभी प्रारूप से संन्यास की घोषणा कर दी है। 39 साल के श्रीसंत ने लंबे समय के बाद क्रिकेट में वापसी की थी लेकिन उन्होंने आखिर कार अपने करियर का अंत करने का फैसला किया है। आईपीएल 2013 में स्पॉट फिक्सिंग में दोषी पाए जाने के बाद श्रीसंत पर आजीवन क्रिकेट खेलने पर प्रतबंद लगाया गया था। हालांकि साल 2020 में श्रीसंत पर लगा आजीवन बैन हटा दिया गया और उन्हें फिर क्रिकेट खेलने की अनुमति मिल गई।
