The news the Queen has tested positive for coronavirus almost two years into the pandemic has worried royal fans around the world. According to a statement made by Buckingham Palace on Saturday, the monarch is currently suffering from “mild cold-like symptoms” and will continue to receive medical attention throughout the course of her illness. The palace said the Queen expects to continue carrying out "light duties”, and this week she has sent her messages of congratulations to Team GB athletes competing in the Winter Olympics in Beijing.
