Mumbai Lifts Covid-19 Restrictions: What Opens Up

On February 1, the Maharashtra government eased many restrictions imposed due to rising cases of Covid-19 in the state. The state government issued fresh guidelines to ease curbs in 11 districts of Maharashtra, including Mumbai. The Maharashtra government called off the 11 pm to 5 am night curfew imposed earlier. This comes as Covid-19 cases have been declining in the state. Now, restaurants, swimming pools, water parks and theatres can remain open with a 50 per cent capacity. Beaches, gardens and parks will now remain open as per normal timings followed before the pandemic. Mumbai recorded 803 new Covid-19 cases.
