Hand Tufted Rugs

A hand-tufted rug is created in part by hand and in part by a machine. Wool is used to making this sort of rug. A hand-tufted rug is made very different from a hand-knotted rug. A hand-tufted rug is created by punching wool strands into a canvas stretched on a frame using a piece of hand-operated equipment. This procedure takes less time and does not require the same ability level as hand-knotting.
