Authorities recover smuggled COVID-19 test kits in Manila raid

Armed with a Letter of Authority (LOA) signed by Customs Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, joint operatives of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service of MICP led by Alvin Enciso, NBI Special Action Unit, and PCG Task Force Aduana, raided a warehouse at Carlos Palanca, San Miguel, Manila.

Authorities recovered boxes of smuggled and unregistered Clungene COVID-19 rapid test kits belonging to an online seller. The seizure of said items is part of the government crackdown on online selling of illegal smuggled COVID-19 test kits and medicines. (MB Video by Ali Vicoy)
