Of course we had tablets back in the 1980s. Ours were just filled with some kind of magical eraser sand and came with zero Wi-Fi. And yes, we could walk around and listen to music, but only on cassette and one band at a time. Selfies? Sure we had selfies, but you'd have to drive somewhere to drop off your actual film and maybe have it back in a few days — this was after you were blinded by a flash to the face. "Sounds horrible," you say. Yeah, it was pretty awesome.
