It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas - Knitivity scenes have sprung up round Inverclyde as Christmas approaches.

Inverclyde 'yarn bombers' knit festive woollen toppers to decorate towns' post boxes. Many crocheted and knitted creations, have popped up throughout the area this week.

Delighted passers-by were given an early festive treat after public-spirited knitters gave a seasonal makeover to the iconic red boxes.

Groups of crafters have been wielding their needles and crochet hooks, then getting together in the dead of night to install their creations.
