Donation to Koohi Goth Women Hospital
Under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, Pak Suzuki has donated Items for protection against COVID-19 (Masks, Gloves, Sanitizers, Dettol, Temperature Guns, B.P Apparatus, etc.) with Five Water Cooler sets to Koohi Goth Women Hospital (KGWH) of Zafar & Atia Foundation Charitable Trust (ZAAFCT).
KGWH is a non-profit 250 bed General Hospital in the poorest area of Landhi Karachi. Hospital is actively working for protecting women from labor related complications and gynae diseases and also provide rehabilitation services to the poor needy women of Pakistan; especially to fistula patients. This is the only charity fistula treatment center in South Asia, providing state of the art laparoscopy surgery and fistula management training also. Hospital has further upgraded to three Operation Theaters including Oral Cancer & NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). Thousands of patients (on yearly basis) are given free of cost medical care along with necessary in-patient facility. Recently Malir University of Science & Technology started its operations under ZAAFCT, Malir University is providing affordable and quality education of low-income groups of Karachi as well as of rural areas.
MD & CEO Pak Suzuki appreciated the efforts & dedication of Koohi Goth Women Hospital team for contributing towards humanity. The donation ceremony was held on Thursday 4th November, 2021; Mr. Masafumi Harano, MD & CEO Pak Suzuki & Dr. Tipu Sultan, CEO Koohi Goth Women Hospital attended the ceremony along with other officials. Donated items will be used for protecting Doctors, Paramedical & other staff against COVID-19 while performing their duties & Water Coolers will be used for clean drinking water supply to staff & patients’ attendants at different locations.
