Maidstone set for major train station upgrade

Commuters in Kent are set to get a huge boost as work begins this month on major improvements to Maidstone East station.

Work on the £2.5 million project will include demolishing an old pub to make room for new facilities.

Councillors hope it'll help to improve the economy in the county town.
