Nearly a quarter of a billion pound black hole for councils in Kent due to the coronavirus crisis

245 million pounds, that's the shortfall facing Kent's local authorities because of coronavirus.

Councillors across the county are now urging the government for extra funding to recover from a disastrous deficit.

The county's 14 councils face a £245m shortfall, with an emergency budget meeting being held by KCC to try and balance the books.
