कार्तिक के महीने को देव माह के नाम से संबोधित किया जाता है क्योंकि यह पूरा महीना पूजा-पाठ का होता है। इस बार कार्तिक पूर्णिमा 19 नवंबर को है। माना जाता है कि अगर इस पूरे महीने मां तुलसी की पूजा की जाए तो घर के अंदर सुख-वैभव पनपता है और इसी कारण भक्त लोग पूरे कार्तिक माह में तुलसी के पौधे के आगे दीपक जलाते हैं। कहते हैं मां तुलसी के अंदर लक्ष्मी का वास होता है और उनकी पूजा करने से माता लक्ष्मी भी अपने भक्तों पर कृपा बनाएं रखती हैं। नहीं तुलसी माता भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की भी काफी प्रिय हैं इसलिए कार्तिक माह में तुलसी जी की पूजा करने से प्रभु श्रीकृष्ण भी काफी प्रसन्न होते हैं और जिस पर भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की कृपा हो जाए, उसका तो कोई भी बाल-बांका नहीं कर सकता है।
