The new Multivan, with seven seats as standard, features plug-in hybrid technology for the first time, thanks to which it is possible to drive daily with zero emissions and enjoy the benefits of the ZERO label. The electric motor and the efficient turbocharged gasoline engine together provide a system power of 160 kW / 218 hp.
The lithium-ion battery of the Multivan eHybrid has a net capacity of 10.4 kWh that offers an electric range of between 46 to 50 kilometers (WLTP) with which it can cover most of the distances of the day to day. The plug-in hybrid powertrain has been designed in such a way that the Multivan eHybrid starts by default, whenever there is a charge in the battery, with purely electric power, which means that short trips do not generate emissions. Only when the speed exceeds 140 km / h does the efficient 1.4 TSI come into play. With gear changes performed automatically via a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox (DSG), the Multivan eHybrid has a NEDC fuel and power consumption of 1.6 to 1.5 l / 100 km and 14 , 6 to 14.5 kWh / 100 km. Like the Multivan eHybrid, the new Bulli achieves efficiency class A +++ in both body versions.
