Sachin Vaze, Param Bir Singh used to extort money from cricket bookies: Mumbai crime branch

On Saturday, the Mumbai Police's crime branch said that ex-cop Sachin Vaze and former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh used to extort money from cricket bookies by threatening them with arrest.

In order to interrogate Sachin Vaze regarding these allegations, the Mumbai Police sought an extension of his custody in the Goregaon extortion case. The court granted an extension of his custody on Saturday.
