PM Modi at COP26 in Glasgow has announced 5 Big Climate Goals for India. 50% of total electricity from renewable sourced by 2030 and net-zero by 2070 are the two biggest targets. The Quint spoke with Mr Chandra Bhushan, environmentalist and climate expert who told us that the journey to these five goals will be challenging and India will need sincere reforms to get there. For a heavily coal-reliant country to create space and structures for 500 GW of renewable capacity would be an uphill task.
