A traditional art form of worship, Theyyam being performed in Kerala. Theyyam is performed in the northern part of Kerala from October – May every year. Theyyam is a famous ritual art form that originated in northern Kerala and brings to life the great legends of the state. Theyyam means daivam, the Malayalam word for gods. In this ceremonial art form, the dancers transform themselves like a particular deity and offer their blessings to the masses.

पूजा का एक पारंपरिक कला रूप, तेय्यम (Theyyam ) केरल (Kerala) में किया जा रहा है। थेय्यम केरल के उत्तरी भाग में हर साल अक्टूबर-मई में किया जाता है। तेय्यम एक प्रसिद्ध आनुष्ठानिक कला का रूप है जिसका जन्म उत्तरी केरल में हुआ और ये राज्य की महान गाथाओं को जीवंत करता है। तेय्यम का अर्थ होता है दैवम यानी देवताओं के लिए मलयालम शब्द। इस आनुष्ठानिक कला रूप में, नर्तक किसी देवता-विशेष की तरह खुद को रूपांतरित कर लेते हैं और जनसमुदाय को अपना आशीर्वाद प्रदान करते हैं।
