GAIA GBZ-X8 or GX8 DISASTER CAR... Gaia New Energy Tech. Cheap Chinese Electric Car Reviewed.

GX8 or GBZ-X8 Gaia-Solar electric car including the problems found when it was delivered.

WRONG MODEL DELIVERED
Wrong Electric motor fitted - 3.5kw motor should be 4kw
Wrong axle gearing fitted - maximum speed 40km/h but shows 60km on speedometer.
Broken Radio
No charging cable
No radio Antenna
Built in generator had to be repaired before it could be used
Wheels out of alignment - outside of front tyres scrubbed off in less than 100km
Torn and disintegrating steering rack rubber sleeves
Lifting Jack collapsed on first use due to poor quality
Broken door lock
Radio surround shell missing

Because the motor was the wrong size the car did not comply with the Government guidelines for tax exemption on Electric Cars [must be 4kw or more but 3.5kw had been fitted] so full import duty had to be paid due to Gaia's fault. Obviously Gaia has no quality control of their cars or all these problems above would have been found before dispatch. Gaia stopped replying to our messages and are accepting no responsibility although Tony, their "sales manager" has admitted in writing that cars were sold with the incorrect motors and axles, but refuses to rectify the problems. I can not recommend this company. BUYERS MAY NOT RECEIVE THE CAR THEY ORDER and not get any after-sales service from this company.
