The Special Investigating Unit is probing the validity of PPE contracts awarded by the Limpopo health department, worth R193-million. SIU head, Advocate Andy Mothibi says they've made referrals to the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority and SARS. That's after finding that the companies did not comply with the rules and qualifying criteria to acquire these contracts.
