Inditex Outpaces Zara

Inditex—owner and operator of the popular Zara chain—has seen its sales return to pre-pandemic levels. Climbing to number 1, Inditex is riding a positive wave as stores reopen, the winter holidays approach, and consumers hope to update their wardrobes. H&M, on the other hand, has experienced difficulty during its recovery after addressing concerns about human rights violations in the Xinjiang region. The company’s app was removed from Tmall and other app stores after calling into question the Chinese government’s actions. Additionally, British retailer Primark is falling short of analysts’ expectations.
