Call for judge in the Marikana Massacre to recuse himself

Marikana miners and families of those killed are taking aim at President Cyril Ramaphosa and Sibanye-Stillwater. They are suing them for their role in the 2012 massacre. Earlier the lawyers representing the families called on the presiding judge to recuse himself, Saying he was compromised as he owned shares in Sibanye- Stillwater worth more than 2-hundred thousand rand. At least 34 mineworkers were killed during the Marikana Massacre in August 2012. Several others were seriously injured. They were demanding a salary of R12,500 and improved living conditions.
