Technology firms in London find it increasingly challenging to recruit tech workers as Silicon Valley tech giants scale up their operations in the U.K. capital. Software developers are in higher demand than ever before. U.S. tech companies like Google ($GOOG@US), Facebook ($FB@US), Amazon ($AMZN@US), Apple ($AAPL@US), Microsoft ($MSFT@US), Palantir ($PLTR@US), and Twitter ($TWTR@US) now employ tens of thousands of tech workers in London and need more. Alphabet ($GOOGL@US), Google’s parent, is in the process of building a complex with enough room for 7,000 Google employees and 1,000 DeepMind staff. Apple plans to move 1,400 staff a few miles away into a new Apple Campus at Battersea Power Station.
