BMC officer's fingers cut off while anti-encroachment drive

Thane Municipal Corporation officer was grievously injured after a street vendor attacked her with a large knife to protest the anti-encroachment drive being carried out by the civic body on Monday evening. Thane Assistant Municipal Commissioner (AMC) Kalpita Pimple and her security guard were attacked by a street vendor during an anti-encroachment drive, as per police. An FIR has been registered against the accused and she has been detained by the police. According to the police, the victim has lost two of her fingers in the attack, while her bodyguard lost one of his fingers in the attack. Watch this video.
