Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is set to visit Delhi for the second time this week on August 27. He is set to meet Rahul Gandhi and other senior leaders amid rumours of a growing rift in the Chattisgarh Congress unit. It was only on August 24 that Baghel had travelled to Delhi to meet Rahul Gandhi. Reportedly, Gandhi also spoke to state health minister TS Singh Deo in a bid to resolve the power tussle between the two senior leaders in the state. There have been reports over a possible change in guard in the state. Reportedly, CM Bhupesh Baghel has rejected talks about a rotation of the chief minister's post. At least 20 legislators backing Baghel also flew to Delhi late on August 26. PL Punia, in charge of the state's Congress unit said the August 24 meeting between Baghel, Deo, and Gandhi centred around developmental issues and not leadership change. Baghel’s government completed two-and-a-half years in office, a half term, in June. Watch the video to know more.
