Plans to resuscitate state security agency

President Cyril Ramaphosa has defended his decision to reshuffle, the State Security Agency into the Presidency’s portfolio. Testifying at the Zondo Commission this week, Ramaphosa rubbished claims by some, that the move smacked of a dictatorship. The president says he hopes to realign the secret agency’s role. And he’s got support from one man in particular. The former head of the SA Secret Service, Moe Shaik, believes a shake-up of the crumbling agency was long overdue. Shaik tells us that he was surprised to hear that an unvetted private army of agents, was allegedly set up to do former president Jacob Zuma's bidding. Courtesy #DStv403
