'Powerful 5.9 Magnitude Earthquake Fills California Road with Huge Boulders'
'A powerful magnitude 5.9 earthquake stunned the California-Nevada border on July 8, 2021, causing huge boulders to fall onto U395 near Coleville.
"We were driving up to Lake Tahoe from LA and at 3:50 pm, we started seeing dust everywhere," the filmer, Brett Durrant revealed to us. "At first, we thought it was caused by dirt bikes but eventually, we figured it was an earthquake."
Brett says in the video that it took him some time to realize that the area had been rattled by an earthquake. His first assumption on feeling the shocks was that the road he was traveling on was rough.
The filmer added: "Within a few hundred yards, the road was completely blocked by boulders, so we had to get out and move those to drive forward."
