GOP LAWMAKERS CHASED OUT OF PRESS CONFERENCE BY PROTESTERS

Protesters chased Republican Reps. Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Louie Gohmert, and Paul Gosar out of their own press conference Tuesday.
The GOP lawmakers met outside the Department of Justice in an attempt to put pressure on Attorney General Merrick Garland for holding individuals arrested in relation to the January 6 attack on the Capitol, whom the lawmakers called ‘political prisoners.’
By the time Greene got to the podium to speak, protesters had taken over the press conference by waving signs, shouting, and in the case of one activist, blowing a whistle continuously.
One reporter on the scene followed the lawmakers as they fled the presser, capturing a protester repeatedly asking Gaetz, ‘Are you a pedophile?’ Gaetz is under a federal investigation by the DOJ for a possible sexual relationship with a minor.
Gaetz, Greene, Gohmert, and Gosar held the press conference on the same day that the select committee on the January 6 riot began its investigation. All four lawmakers have been outspoken in their opposition to the committee and their loyalty to former Pres. Donald Trump.
