Uttarkashi witnesses cloudburst, rescue operations underway

After a cloudburst in Mando village in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi district, three people died and four people were reported as missing. Rescue operations are currently underway in the region.A cloudburst is defined as an extreme amount of precipitation in a short period of time, sometimes accompanied by hail and thunder, which is capable of creating flood conditions.
