DOSES OF HOPE
About 1.15 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 in Parañaque City via China Airlines flight CI 701 on July 16, 2021. The new batch of vaccines was the first tranche procured by the private sector. Jose 'Joey' Concepcion 3rd, Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo founder; Health Secretary Francisco Duque 3rd; Secretary Carlito G. Galvez, Jr., vaccine czar and chief implementer for the National Policy Against Covid-19; Lotis Ramin, country president for AstraZeneca; Jannette Jakosalem of Zuellig Pharma; Maria Soledad Antonio, director for the Bureau of International Health Cooperation of the DoH; and Cyril Tolosa, medical head AstraZeneca were on hand for the arrival ceremonies.
