This History Documentary series focuses on the kings and queens of England from 1066 to the present day, Almost 1000 years of monarchs. It shows how the history of England was shaped by the history of it's monarchs.
Episode Five covers the lust, tempestuous relationships and madness in the colourful reigns of the Hanoverians. George I brought two mistresses over from Germany, George II quarrelled openly with his son Frederick, George III became ruler of the British Empire, but madness eventually disabled him. His son reigned as Prince Regent for eight years and later as King George IV.
