The second wave of infection of Coronavirus In India was very fatal. While on one hand lakhs of people lost their lives, on the other hand many people who survived the infection but are now facing post covid problems. Amidst all this, a new problem has come to the fore, in which there is a complaint of bleeding from the gums and nose. Cases of mild decrease in platelet count or thrombocytopenia have not been seen only during corona infection but this problem can continue till six months after discharge. Most of these patients do not need any treatment. Severely low platelet count and bleeding may occur in some patients including bleeding from the skin, bleeding from the nose, gums, blood in urine-or stools. Patients with these symptoms will require treatment.

कोरोना वायरस (Coronavirus In India) की संक्रमण की दूसरी लहर बहुत ही घातक थी. एक ओर जहां लाखों लोगों की जान गई तो वहीं दूसरी ओर कई लोग जो संक्रमण से तो बच गए लेकिन अब पोस्ट कोविड समस्याओं (Long Covid) का सामना कर रहे हैं. प्लेटलेट काउंट या थ्रोम्बोसाइटोपेनिया में हल्की कमी के केस केवल कोरोना संक्रमण के दौरान नहीं देखे गए हैं बल्कि डिस्चार्ज होने के छह महीने बाद तक यह दिक्कत जारी रह सकती है. इनमें से अधिकांश रोगियों को किसी भी इलाज की जरूरत नहीं है. कुछ रोगियों में गंभीर रूप से कम प्लेटलेट काउंट और ब्लीडिंग के मामले सामने आ सकते हैं जिसमें त्वचा से खून बहना, नाक से ब्लीडिंग, मसूड़ों, पेशाब या मल में भी खून हो सकता है. इन लक्षण वाले मरीजों को इलाज की आवश्यकता होगी.'
