In this video, I visit an ancient glitch found in the original Xbox version of Halo 2. 343 Industries has left this in their Steam port of the Master Chief Collection.
It even has weird stuff like the string entry "Press X to flip Banshee" (even though it clearly IS NOT a Banshee), and the...questionable physics. The Phantom dropships have the exact same set of...oddities.
The way I see it, this is a hint that Bungie had more in mind for the Pelican dropships, and...well, pretty much the entirety of Halo 2's campaign altogether. Then again, they had a bunch planned for the multiplayer too.
Later on, I might make a video showing the oddities of other Halo games. In Halo 3, the Phantoms (when unoccupied) have similar physics behaviors.
