"I am Chanduram Majhi. I was a soldier in the Indian army. For many years I had served my motherland without caring for my own life. But today I am working as a daily labourer at my village in Nuapada district. Today, I need help. I need the government to listen to my pleas."
With the responsibility of four daughters, Chanduram was forced to take up daily labour to support his family.
Every father dreams of seeing his children settle well in life. But for Chanduram that seems like a distant reality. Chanduram says that without his pension, he cannot even pay for his daughter’s education, let alone their marriages in the future.
However, the officials say that they would be looking into the matter as soon as possible.
