The loved ones of a brave South Shields boy who died just four days after being diagnosed with cancer have released balloons in his memory.
Three-year-old Robbie Elliott, from the Nook area of the town, died surrounded by his loved ones at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle on Friday, May 21, following a short battle with cancer.
The brave little boy was found to have had multiple tumours in his body and had been receiving treatment, but the family were later informed that he had widespread undifferentiated mesenchymal cancer and there was nothing they could do.
The tribute event took place in Temple Park, South Shields, around 3pm on Sunday, May 30, which saw Robbie’s loved ones come together to pay tribute to the brave little boy.
