Why I'm a proud follower of Islam - Now my name is Dr. Aisha Alhamdullah

Now about being proud in being a Muslim, I am rather grateful to Allaah for making me one. Pride may perhaps instill in me arrogance which would simply render me being against the principles of it as it teaches being not arrogant but rather being humble as in accordance with the undermentioned verses from the glorious qur’an:-

And walk not on the earth with conceit and arrogance. Verily, you can neither rend nor penetrate the earth, nor can you attain a stature like the mountains in height. (Al-Qur’an: 17:37)

And the (faithful) slaves of the Most Gracious (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness. (Al-Qur’an: 25:63)

It really feels good to be a Muslim because it makes me clear to me the right conduct of life (if only I intend to learn from the Qur’an & Hadiths abouth it, & not merely by being born in a muslim family because that endows you with nothing more than a comparatively greater possibility of getting to know about the path prescribed by Allaah which obviously would be more difficult for the people of other faiths). It is cuz of being born a muslim I found it quite easy to go through the above mentioned scriptures & know the right way of life & know that it is all about being peaceful, just & submitted to the will of Allaah, which of course is against the current picture of Islam in the minds of many who view it as a terror-spreading religion. I would like to exemplify this as well on the basis of the undermentioned hadiths & qur’anic verses:-

Narrated Sahl bin Sad: Once the people of Quba fought with each other till they threw stones on each other. When Allah's Apostle was informed about it, he said, "Let us go to bring about a reconciliation between them." (Sahih Bukhari)

Narrated Aisha: Once Allah's Apostle heard the loud voices of some opponents quarreling at the door. One of them was appealing to the other to deduct his debt and asking him to be lenient but the other was saying, "By Allah I will not do so." Allah's Apostle went out to them and said, "Who is the one who was swearing by Allah that he would not do a favor?" That man said, "I am that person, O Allah's Apostle! I will give my opponent whatever he wishes."
(Sahih Bukhari)

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "There is a Sadaqa to be given for every joint of the human body; and for every day on which the sun rises there is a reward of a Sadaqa (i.e. charitable gift) for the one who establishes justice among people."
(Sahih Bukhari)

And if two parties or groups among the believers fall to fighting, then make peace between them both. But if one of them outrages against the other, then fight you (all) against the one that which outrages till it complies with the Command of Allah. Then if it complies, then make reconciliation between them justly, and be equitable. Verily! Allah loves those who are the equitable. (Al-Qur’an: 49:9)
