Ram Gopal Varma shares memories from the sets of his film 'Satya'


Ram Gopal Varma, who has directed great films like Rangeela, Company, Sarkar, and Satya, has now shared some memories from the sets of the "Satya", which deals with the Mumbai Underworld.

His DOP for the film Gerard Hooper sent him some amazing location pics from behind the scenes and the director shared them on his social media.

He wrote,

"Writers Anurag Kashyap and Saurabh Shukla briefing Urmila while DOP Gerard Hooper is deciding on how to frame the shot.”

In another photo, he wrote,

He also shared the photo of Ajit Diwani who shared with him the dark secrets of the underworld. Sharing his photo, he wrote,

"The man with folded hands is Ajit Diwani who was shot dead much after he shared information about the Underworld with me. He was Secretary to Mandakini who was Dawood Ibrahim's sweetheart at that time.”

Film Satya was released in the year 1998 and it follows the life of an immigrant who comes to Mumbai looking for a job. How he is drawn into the Mumbai Underworld is what follows next.  The film was written by Anurag Kashyap and Saurabh Shukla and directed by Ram Gopal Varma.

It starred Manoj Bajpayee, Urmila Matondkar, JD Chakravarthy, Saurabh Shukla, Govind Namdev, Paresh Rawal.
