कोरोना का असर केवल फेफड़ों पर ही नहीं, बल्कि दिमाग और आंखें पर भी होता है। कोरोना की पहली लहर में ही देखा गया था कि कोरोना के चलते ब्रेन स्ट्रोक के मामले सामने आए थे। लेकिन कोरोना की दूसरी लहर में ये मामले बढ़े हैं। शुरूआत में किसी ने इस समस्या पर ध्यान नहीं दिया, लेकिन अब इन परेशानियों पर डॉक्टर्स की नजरें हैं। डॉक्टर ने बताया कि कोरोना होने पर ब्रेन स्ट्रोक का खतरा बढ़ जाता है। उन्होंने बताया कि जो लोग पहले ही गंभीर बीमारियों से जूझ रहे हैं उनमें भी ब्लड क्लॉटिंग होने लगती है, जिसकी वजह से ब्रेन स्ट्रोक होता है। दूसरा साइकाइन स्टार्म और डी-डाइमर के बढ़ने की वजह से भी ब्रेन स्ट्रोक होता है। तीसरा कारण ब्लैक फंगस है। डॉक्टर ने बताया कि कोरोना के बाद मरीजों में ब्लैक फंगस की परेशानी देखने को मिल रही जिसमें फंगस धमनियों में घुस जाता है और रक्त का प्रवाह बाधित होता है। यह क्लॉट जब ब्रेन में फैल जाता है तब ब्रेन स्ट्रोक होता है।
