Mosque damaged partially in Shopian

A mosque was partially damaged during the gunfight between the government forces and rebels in southern kashmir area of Shopian today. Seven rebels including the chief of Ansar Ghazwatul Hind (AGH), an al-Qaeda affiliate, Imtiyaz Shah, were killed in the gunfight. Local people protested against the damage to the mosque in the action by government forces, but police said that they didn't use any explosive and had asked rebels to surrender.
