The DMK has suffered a major setback during the Tamil Nadu elections. In the case of the disputed statement, the Election Commission has taken action against DMK leader A Raja and he has been barred from campaigning for 48 hours. Earlier, the Commission had said that Raja's statement is not only derogatory but also degrades the motherhood of a mother, which is a violation of the code of conduct.

तमिलनाडु चुनाव के बीच डीएमके को बड़ा झटका लगा है. विवादित बयान के मामले में चुनाव आयोग ने डीएमके नेता ए राजा पर कार्रवाई की है और उन्हें 48 घंटे तक प्रचार करने से रोक दिया गया है. इससे पहले आयोग ने कहा था कि राजा का बयान ना सिर्फ अपमानजनक है बल्कि एक मां की मातृत्व को भी यह नीचा दिखाता है,जो आचार संहिता का उल्लंघन है
