Sadly the horse ploughing match held at Ballycastle on St Patrick's Day couldn't be held this year.
But the Glenshesk Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/the9glens) shared these fabulous old photographs from the match sometime in the 1970s.
They write: “Ballycastle normally hosts Ireland's most famous Horse Ploughing Match today, St Patrick's Day, but because of the lockdown, here are a few memories from the 1970s, courtesy of Anne McCaughan.”
Do you recognise any faces, human or horse? We would love to hear and share details with the Glenshesk Facebook page.
Or do you have any vintage ploughing match photographs which you'd like to show Farming Life readers? Get in touch, email me at darryl.armitage@jpimedia.co.uk.
Thanks again to the Glenshesk Facebook page for the permission to make these old photographs into this video.
