We're 19 - And Have Two Sets Of Twins | MY EXTRAORDINARY FAMILY

A PAIR of 19-year-olds have not one, but two, sets of twins. Maggie and Kenrrick Rojas from Texas, USA have been together since 2019. Three months into their relationship, Maggie fell pregnant with twins - despite using birth control. She said: “When I found out that I was pregnant with the first set, I had just graduated high school. I freaked at first. I didn't know if I could take care of two babies at 17 - so I was really scared the first time.” Getting pregnant so young, caused some controversy within their families. Maggie said: “His [Kennrick’s] mum reacted strongly. She was mad at first. It took a couple of days for his mum to warm up to me. This was before we found out it was twins, and then she freaked out all over again. But she is very supportive now, she loves them like crazy.” Having already raised twins, the couple felt another baby would be a walk in the park. Surprisingly they found out they were having twins again. The two babies were born in December 2020. Maggie said: “I would say the second set is easier, in terms of I know what I’m doing a lot more. But it’s harder in terms of getting absolutely no sleep.” Being teen parents the couple have received their fair share of judgement online, with people calling them ‘irresponsible’. Maggie said: “There’s been a lot of judgement and other things that come with it for sure. I started getting really mean hate comments online. I might be only 19 with four kids, two sets of twins, but they’re happy, they’re healthy, they are loved. It’s been an adventure of a lifetime - to say the least.”
