Why Coyotes Howl At The Moon?

Coyotes Howl at the moon to let the other Coyote know their location. If one group of Coyote is able to spot a prey then they will let the other Coyote know the location so that they can join the hunt. They can also inform other member of the Coyote their location to communicate and let them know they are there.
