BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal provided a major update about the IPL 2021 venue and IPL 2021 date. While speaking to InsideSport, Dhumal said that the BCCI is still in a dicey situation due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in India. He revealed that the BCCI will finalise the IPL 2021 date after the India vs England series. Dhumal also said that they don't have any definite answers at the moment.

इंग्लैंड सीरीज के तुरंत बाद होने वाली इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग का आयोजन भारत में ही पांच-छह शहरों में कराया जाएगा। कोरोना के कारण आइपीएल के 13वें सीजन का आयोजन पिछले साल 19 सितंबर से 10 नवंबर तक संयुक्त अरब अमीरात में किया गया था, लेकिन भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड ने इस बार तय किया है कि दुनिया की सबसे महंगी क्रिकेट लीग का आयोजन भारत में ही होगा। लेकिन अब यह तय किया गया है कि 11 अप्रैल से शुरू होने वाला यह टूर्नामेंट पांच-छह शहरों में आयोजित किया जाएगा। इसके लिए हमें पांच-छह बायो-बबल बनाने होंगे।
