School On Wheels: Teachers Get Creative In Koriya, Chhattisgarh As They Hold 'Mohalla Classes'

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, when school are shut & several students do not have access to the internet for online education classes, teachers have thought of innovative ways to impart education. A teacher in Koriya district of Chhattisgarh conducts 'mohalla' classes for school students on his motorcycle. Ashok Lodhi makes use of a TV and speaker to attract students. The teacher is winning hearts on the internet for starting mohalla classes for children in the area. The students also seem to be enjoying this method of teaching. The teacher is nicknamed 'cinema wale babu’. In a similar incident, another teacher, Rudra Rana conducts ‘mohalla’ classes for students. The teacher carries kept a blackboard, books and placards with him to help the students learn. Speaking about the importance of these classes during the pandemic, a student told ANI that they get to learn a lot from these classes.
