French village resists SpaceX project for satellite ground station

Saint-Senier-de-Beuvron, a small village in north-western France, is resisting plans by Elon Musk's company SpaceX to build infrastructure for its hyper-speed internet satellites.
The village's Mayor Benoit Hamard is challenging the project, saying SpaceX will need to apply for a building permit due to its size.
Earlier this month, SpaceX unveiled its plans for three locations in France including Saint-Senier, where its 350 inhabitants did not welcome the news with open arms.
Starlink, which already dots the skies with distinctive constellations of satellites forming lines in low orbit, plans to make high-speed internet access available anywhere on earth.
