The Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, the last vestige of the former president’s once-dominant brand in Atlantic City, is demolished with 3,000 sticks of dynamite. After a series of bankruptcy filings, Donald Trump cut ties with the casino in 2009, even though his name briefly continued to adorn the building. Trump Plaza closed for good in 2014 and billionaire investor Carl Icahn - one of Trump's main Atlantic City financiers - acquired it out of bankruptcy in 2016.
