Rohit Sharma, on Saturday, finally ended his century drought in Tests when he reached the three-figure mark in the ongoing second Test against England in Chennai. The right-handed batsman had not scored a century since his 212-run knock against South Africa in October 2019. It was the very series where he was promoted as an opener in Tests for the first time. After that double century, he played five Tests without scoring a century. With the likes of Prithvi Shaw, Mayank Agarwal, and KL Rahul waiting in the wings, the pressure was building on the right-handed batsman. But on Saturday, he relieved the pressure off himself by scoring his seventh hundred in the longest format of the game.
