In an extremely rare surgery, a team of specialist surgeons successfully separated a pair of conjoined twin sisters, born at the B.J. Wadia Hospital for Children in Parel,. The twins were born to a young Mumbai couple on December 21, but were conjoined at the abdomen with a shared liver, lower chest bone, abdominal cavities and possibly the intestines, making their survival chances slim.
