https://www.mikecelona.net - Abstract video synthesizer remix experiment whose aurora-like images and analog video glitch distortions reminded me of the Carrington Event of 1859 in which a powerful CME (Coronal Mass Ejection) hit the Earth’s atmosphere resulting in the largest geomagnetic storm on record that disrupted nearly every telegraph line in the world--pretty much the extent of our global electronic infrastructure at the time. Despite a number of close calls since then, it has been estimated that a comparable event today would do an estimated $0.6-2.6 trillion worth of damage to the U.S. alone. Video produced using Lumen remixed live via VDMX and an analog Videffektor. Soundtrack produced with a Roland GR-55 guitar synthesizer edited and mixed in Adobe Premiere.
