Lord Krishna's Heart is still on Earth?

According to vedic texts, Lord Krishna was born 5000 years ago. After his death his heart was not cremated, instead it was kept in a temple in Puri. Today also krishna's heart is kept properly inside the idol of Jagganath in the Jagganath Temple, Puri, India .
During Krishna's funeral his whole body caught fire, Except his heart! Why his heart didn't get caught by fire? Isn't his heart made of flesh?
