Making Frozen Dog Treats.
According to the American Pet Products Association, the number of American households with pets rose 6.5% between 2015 and 2020.
The ice cream company is the latest to
pivot toward the ever-growing market.
They will be introducing 4-ounce Doggie Desserts in U.S. stores by the end of January.
The frozen treats will be available in two flavors:, pumpkin with cookies and peanut butter with pretzels.
Doggie Desserts are made
with sunflower butter,
which Ben & Jerry's also
uses for its non-dairy
ice cream for humans.
They will sell for
$2.99 per cup or
$4.99 for four.
Once in stores, pet owners can find the treats in the frozen food aisle near the popsicles.
